thinking...contemplating
if the ice will melt off the surface.
Searching for a purpose
she was always told she was worthless.
Never needed for a thing
she was sort of handicapped like an angel
with a broken wing.
Or so it seemed.
She grew confidence in herself
and followed her dream.
proving to the people who were cruel
an mean that they were wrong.
On her own a black girl who grew up in
the hood.
Started to grow stronger then she ever
thought she could or would.
Alone she stands looking at the world
