Agarose/Gel Electrohporesis lab question?? PLEASE HELP?

i am answering questions for a gel electrophoresis lab and i got stuck on this question: "Why is it necessary to vary the agarose concentration according to the fragment sizes that we are seperating?" if you could give me your source that would be great.
There was also another one..."What are some of the factors that affect electrophoretic mobility and resolution?"
thank you so much!

You have to vary the concentraton of the agrose according to te fragment sizes as
-if the gell is too dense, and the fragments are larger, the fragments wont all separate in the gell, theyll look like one big line, higher up on the gell.
-if the gell is not dense enough, and the fragments are smaller, they would all run together in one line which would be found at the bottom of the gell.
so getting the right % of the agrose gell is important for resolution of the different strands along the length of the gell.

for your second question some factors are
- the size of the strands
-the persentage of the gell
- the voltage of the charge running through the gell
- the charge of the strands.
